George Hickenlooper (May 25, 1963 - October 29, 2010) was best known for directing the 1991 documentary Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse, on the making of Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now. Hickenlooper was preparing for the release of Casino Jack. The Hickenlooper-directed drama stars Kevin Spacey as disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. The film will open December 17, in New York and Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne, son Charles, a younger brother, and his mother and father.
