The body of actor Michael Showers, 45, who played NOPD Capt. John Guidry in HBO's "Treme," was pulled from the Mississippi River near the French Quarter on Wednesday, August 24. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death, but the chief investigator for the Orleans Parish coroner's office estimated that Showers' body had been in the water for two days.
Showers' acting credits also include "Breaking Bad," "The Vampire Diaries," I Love You Phillip Morris, Traffic and the upcoming Colombiana.
